Well Apocalypse 2027 was quite an interesting read. Honestly, I was a little skeptical of reading this at the beginning. The book’s description made it sound a bit fanatical and like something from one of those wildly melodramatic conspiracy theorists. But then again, I’ve always been rather skeptical of predictions, especially end-times ones, because let’s face it, time hasn’t ended yet. I’ve also never really spent much time reading the book of Revelation either though, so I thought it might be worth a read to see what author Jensen had to say about the topic.Jensen begins the book by setting the scene for us politically. He outlines how he thinks the Antichrist will come into power, as well as when. His political opinions are rather hard to stomach, and I found his assumption that all real Christians agree with him particularly offensive. That being said, I tried to leave personal differences aside and keep an open mind when reading this. Jensen clearly has a broad knowledge of current events and world powers, and the road map he proposes for how World War 3 will occur seems not only plausible, but rather believable. Not so sure though that I agree with his timeline, as he suggests the war will begin rather shortly in 2020 or 2021.I did appreciate the amount of cross-referencing done between the prophesies from Daniel and those from Revelation, which were written some 500 years apart. It was fascinating to see just how near identical many of them were. All in all, if you can get past Jensen’s zealous support of the current administration, Apocalypse 2027 is an interesting take on exactly how the end times and rise of the Antichrist may come about in the near future.
Apocalypse 2027: Scriptural Case for the Global Antichrist is a well- written end of times book. Jensen explains why others who have predicted the world end date are wrong. He explains that the Bible clearly states why we DON’T know the time, but that there will be clear signs as to its imminent arrival. He uses Biblical references to explain his theories. Jensen also explains that who we believe might be the coming Antichrist is way off base. Again, Jensen is able to back up this theory with Biblical verses too. His explanation of the Internet, what it is used for, and what it will be used for is quite scary. It was an eye opener for me to read because it has made me think twice about most of my ideas about the End of Days. The End Days were always something that seemed so far off in the future. Jensen has made me realize that the End is much closer than I thought. This is a good book to read to start a conversation about Christianity and the End Times. As a Christian, I embrace the End Times and looking forward to that coming day!
I have to say that this is a subject that I approach with great skepticism, but Jensen does put for very exact details, and does leave the reader at least forewarned, and as he says “forewarned is forearmedâ€. My suggestion to any reader of this book is make sure you do not skip the forward. In fact every part and detail of this is important, but you need to take it all in to get the full effect and benefit. I do find that one of the major criticism when comes to the apocalyptic subject, is people say that predictors use only the Bible as their reference, and Jensen does use the bible but as well as many legitimate supporting factors as well as first hand accounts. Which I see gives him more credence than other “predictorsâ€. I would also like to say that with the book being written in 2017 and me reading it in 2018, I am already seeing what he was saying about Trump and Iran coming to fruition.This is a book that we all must heed, but do not take my word for it pick it up and see for yourself. Oh, but I should say this subject is not for the faint of heart, there are some deep issues and some people may want to keep saying that “ignorance is blissâ€, but like it or not this is happening.
Normally I shy away from prophecy books and those who claim to know when the final time on earth will be, but I started to read it anyways and was blown away. I appreciate that in the very beginning of this book Peter Jensen makes it known that the Second Coming in up to the Father and it is on his time. It will not matter if we try to rush or slow events down on our own intentions! I grew up in household that was split on beliefs; a mother who would devote her energy to taking me to church every weekend and pray with me nightly, and a father who openly mocked the whole process. She taught me to take the bible at face value and not try to "fit it" into a specific meaning or agenda. I found myself taking screen shots of the book to later on study, discuss and pray over the bible versus and thought processes of what Peter was explaining. I liked how he approached this subject and his explanation of the mark of the beast to be thought provoking. That chapter alone was very relative to my life with my family. My husband and myself attempt to "unplug" all the time which frustrates the daylights out of our children. His definition of the world wide web is just so spot on...and correct on how our younger generation is soo quick to give up their privacy for the vast knowledge the internet provides.The hardest challenge I have faced in my life is learning how to balance my faith and have it not yoked to my (step)children's happiness growing up in a world soo challenging on my beliefs. Matthew 10:28 which is brought up in the beginning of the book hit home for me and will be something that I will take with me in the future as we approach the end times "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell" I'm glad I didn't miss out on what this book had to say.
